How This Started

Before we became a consultancy, we were advisors working within the system. Citizens Advice. Legal aid clinics. Community support organizations. What we noticed across all those roles was a pattern: capable, deserving people being denied benefits not because they weren't eligible, but because they couldn't navigate the application process.

The paperwork defeated them. The terminology confused them. The deadlines caught them off guard. And every rejected application made them less likely to try again.

So in 2013, we founded this practice with a simple premise: if someone qualifies for a benefit, administrative complexity shouldn't be the reason they don't receive it.

What We Believe

We believe the welfare system, despite its flaws, serves a crucial purpose. It exists to provide a safety net for those who need it. But that safety net only works if people can actually access it.

We believe clarity is better than jargon. That transparency builds trust. That people deserve to know exactly what they're paying for and exactly what to expect.

We don't believe in making promises we can't keep. Benefit eligibility is determined by regulations, not by how much someone wants or needs the support. Our job is to help eligible people successfully claim what they're entitled to, not to manufacture entitlements that don't exist.

Our Approach

We don't take on cases we can't help with. If you're not eligible for additional benefits, we'll tell you that in the initial consultation rather than taking your money for work that won't produce results.

When we do take on a case, we're thorough. We review your entire situation, not just the obvious benefit category. People often qualify for multiple forms of support they weren't aware of. Part of our value is identifying all of them.

We handle the bureaucracy so you don't have to. That means form completion, documentation gathering, submission tracking, and follow-up with relevant agencies. You provide the information. We manage the process.
